JP-is that Mark Hamel aka Luke Skywalker in front of the purple number?
‘fraid not, but good guess.
Or is #9 from the old UFO tv series from England?
Yep. Nice one, Pops.
JP
10. is a muira, 14 is a Vector, 16 is a Ferrari 275. That’s all I had for sure.
Sort of know:
1 and 8. appear to be Corvette concepts.
2. is an Alfa concept.
3. has a Porsche badge.
4. is the equivalent of sin, but appears to have Corvette wheels from the ’80s.
5. is an illegally dreamt Ferrari
6. is something removed from a tooth cavity.
7. looks like something Ed Roth cooked up to kill his girlfriend.
9. was a product of the AMC Playtex JV
11. English and neat, but I’ve never seen before.
12. has wheels from a conversion van.
13. & 15. are equivalent and look so familiar (lines are Lambo?)
17. Concept from that wacky Chrysler designer? Or an Alfa Bat?
18. Porsche of some sort.
1. No, but you’re warm.
2. Yes, but be more specific.
3. Come on…
4. ______
5. Specifics…
6. ______
7. ______
8. ______
9. Pops called it, but what– any details?
10. Yes, year?
11. Nope
12. I doubt anyone will get this one…
13. same as 15, anyone awake?
14. Yup, year?
15. same as 13 guys…
16. Close, but no.
17.Nope
18. Nope
Keep at it
Awesome funky retro cool!!! 😉
JP, Another beautiful post. I’d be surprised if there’s someone who will get all 18 cars.
We must be on the same wavelength. I just wrote today about using advanced composites in future cars. see: http://sandacom.wordpress.com/
It’s more engineering oriented and discusses living with high-speed, light-weight cars. Keep-up the excellent work, it is appreciated. jws
I can’t name them, but I want to drive them.
1. 1962 Corvair Monza GT
2. Bertone Carabo
3. Porsche Tapiro (Giugiaro)
4. Bertone Lancia Stratos
5. Pininfarina Ferrari 512S Modulo
6. Bertone Lancia Stratos (same car as above, different color)
7. Adams Probe of some sort
8. XP 882 (Mid-engined Corvette prototype)
9. No idea. Looks like something from a British TV show.
10. Lamborghini Miura with the wrong wheels
11. The Collier museum’s ex Cunningham Maserati Birdcage (longtail, and full windscreen for Le Mans regulations)
12. I think this is an early Nova kit car. Definitely VW-engined, regardless
13. Cizeta Moroder
14. Vector WX3
15. Cizeta Moroder again? Same photo is showing up.
16. Ferrari 400 Superamerica
17. Ferrari 410 Superamerica (Ghia-bodied)

18: Brain tired. Try again in the morning. Fun, though!
Reminds me of some Hot Wheels cars I had as a kid. The kind where I would say, “when I grow up, I’m gonna have me some of these”. And I would still take any of them. I just don’t know which one!
If you got to pick one to have, which one would you want?
/is still a kid
These are tough ones.

#1 Hmm, not Corvette or Kellison
#2 -Oh D$%^=n – I’ve seen this one before, but no recollection.
#9 – Straker’s car from UFO (I have the DVD)
http://www.cloudster.com/Sets&Vehicles/UFO_Car/StrakerCar.htm
#12 – Sterling Kit? Nova/Ureka…
#16 – Almost a Fiat 1500 GT Ghia – but not quite
#17 – Strikingly similar to the Plymouth Asymmetrica Ghia – I definitely suspect Ghia involvement
There are a lot of look-alikes with plenty of Ghia influences in this batch.
Robert
What, no Competitzione or Modulo?
Crud.
Cris knocked it outta the park while I was typing.
14. is the vector….?
17. Chrysler gia concept…?
Car models should still look like they are from 1968, or 1970, in my opinion.
Excellent Job Chris.
#9 is Streker’s car from SHADO – on the British TV series UFO.
#12 is a Sterling – VW based kit. It was also known as a nova or a eureka.
I agree that we should all be driving these around. Better yet, how about a contest where the prize is a day with each of these cars and the corresponding supermodel??
Ah, your file names give it away. Took a geology class online and that mistake gave the task of identifying minerals pretty easy…
Tyler,
I didn’t want to deprive crafty buggers like yourself.
Best,
JP
Correction!
#9 is the Foster car used in the film “Doppelganger”
The Foster car was used on the UFO series after Doppelganger was filmed. It was Colonel Paul Foster’s car, thus the name “Foster Car”.
I didn’t know any of these but the color on number nine is legendary.
wow, what a great collection of cars, haven’t seen most of these. great post! number 6 is a magnificent beast. can’t wait to find out what it is!?!

10 appears to be a Lamborghini Muira.
For comprehensive info on the Adams Probe see http://www.probe2001.com If anyone has additional info that is not already listed we’d love to hear from you !
I’ve driven a Vector, can’t remember what year. It drives like a Lambo VT from around the same era. Lots of meat but you can cause damage if you push it too hard
Whoever dreamed up that 1970 Pinnafarina was a great salesman. How this got made is beyond me. Another bad Ferrari, the 456. Ferrari made a few clunkers. I drove a 308 GTSI, yeah the Magnum car, and that thing was a piece of crap. Sure looked good though. If you want to get harassed buy one of those, they are cheap
